Who Benefits? The success of this event has always been due to our community's benevolence. This generosity has helped us respond to almost three quarter of a million dollars of funding requests from worthy local charities. The Children's Center Over the last decade this event has raised over $750,000.00 to benefit various Lowcountry children’s charities. Our primary beneficiary is The Children’s Center, a forty year old island institution that provides preschool and day care services to working families on a sliding scale fee basis depending upon their income levels. The VanLandingham Rotary Club has made a pledge of $350,000.00 for the construction of their NEW facility. |
